This half-day boat trip combines two of Zanzibar’s best experiences: snorkeling over colourful coral reefs and relaxing on a sandbank that appears in the middle of the ocean at low tide.
A day on the water
You board a local boat and head to a reef where the water is clear and shallow. With mask and fins, you can see tropical fish, starfish and corals just below the surface. Our crew helps first-time snorkelers and brings all the equipment.
Next, the boat stops at a white sandbank surrounded by turquoise water. Here you can swim, walk along the sand, take photos and enjoy fresh fruit in the sun. Because sandbanks depend on the tide, timings are planned around tide tables for the day.
