Mount Kenya National Park is one of Kenya’s most spectacular natural destinations, centered around Mount Kenya, the second-highest mountain in Africa after Kilimanjaro. Located in central Kenya, the park protects a dramatic landscape of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, alpine forests, bamboo zones, waterfalls, and high-altitude moorlands. The mountain is sacred to the Kikuyu people, who traditionally believed it was the dwelling place of their god, Ngai.
