Kilimanjaro Airport

Arrival in Tanzania – Transfer to Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our team will meet you and transfer you to Moshi, the gateway town to Mount Kilimanjaro.

Overnight stay at Weru Weru River Lodge on half-board basis.

DAY 02

Kilimanjaro Mountain

Day 2: Machame Gate (1,811m) to Machame Camp (3,100m)

After breakfast, depart your lodge at 8:00 AM and drive to Machame Gate for registration and climbing formalities.

Begin your Kilimanjaro trek through lush rainforest with giant trees, birds, and possible monkey sightings.

Hiking Time: 6–7.5 hours
Distance: 10 km
Altitude Gain: +1,289m

Machame Camp (3,100m) to Shira Camp (3,840m)

Leave the rainforest behind and enter the moorland zone with spectacular views of Mount Meru and Kibo Peak.

Shira Camp (3,840m) to Lava Tower (4,700m) to Barranco Camp (3,986m)

A key acclimatization day. Hike up to Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp using the “climb high, sleep low” method.

Barafu Camp (4,600m) – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Midnight summit attempt to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Enjoy sunrise from the summit before descending to Mweka Camp.

Distance: 17 km total
