Mandara Huts are the first overnight stop on the Marangu Route of Mount Kilimanjaro, situated at an altitude of 2,700 meters (8,858 feet). Nestled within the lush montane forest zone, the huts offer basic dormitory-style accommodation with bunk beds, shared toilets, and a dining area. Surrounded by dense vegetation and often visited by blue monkeys and other wildlife, Mandara Huts provide a comfortable and scenic rest point for climbers beginning their ascent. The nearby Maundi Crater offers a short hike with beautiful views, making this an ideal spot for acclimatization and exploring the lower slopes of the mountain.
